🍵FUKAMUSHI TEA (Deep-Steamed Green Tea)
Origin: Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan
Specifications: 12 tea bags per pack
Benefits: Packed with antioxidants, aids digestion, and boosts energy—more effective than coffee for a refreshing lift.
Japanese green teas are typically classified as light-steamed, medium-steamed, or deep-steamed. Compared to light-steamed sencha, deep-steamed tea undergoes a longer steaming process, resulting in these distinct characteristics:
Rich, dark green color with finely broken leaves.
Mild astringency, smooth texture, and robust flavor.
Extended steeping reduces bitterness and fresh aroma while creating a full-bodied tea. The breakdown of tea leaves makes them brittle, allowing fine particles to seep out, giving the tea a cloudy, deep green hue.
Enjoy the bold, signature flavor of deep-steamed green tea.
♨️ Brewing Instructions:
Deep-Steamed Green Tea: Enjoy hot or cold—cold brewing enhances its flavor.
Genmaicha: Best brewed hot with 100°C water to release the rice aroma.
Daily Use: One tea bag (500ml) can be steeped twice. A third steep may have little flavor but can be brewed again if desired.
Notes:
1️⃣ Japanese tea bags differ from Chinese teas; the leaves are finer and more delicate, so some tea dust may fall out—this is normal.
2️⃣ Genmaicha contains less green tea, with up to 30mg of caffeine per bag.
3️⃣ Avoid drinking deep-steamed green tea at night, as it may cause sleeplessness in some individuals.
